About Raj
Raj Beri, of Indian origin, was born in New Delhi, India. At the tender age of six months, his family relocated to Dubai, where he spent his formative years. When Raj was 13 years old, his family migrated to Sydney, Australia, where Raj spent a significant portion of his life. He then ventured to Los Angeles, USA, and later settled in Palm Beach, Florida, with his wife in 2020.
Having graduated high school in 1994, Raj embarked on a journey into higher education, initially pursuing a degree in biochemistry at the University of Western Sydney, Australia. However, his entrepreneurial spirit led him to start his first company during his third year of undergraduate studies. Consequently, Raj transitioned into the world of self-employment, a path he has steadfastly followed since then.
Raj Beri’s illustrious career spans across diverse industries, showcasing his adaptability and innovative prowess. From 1997 to 2001, he made a mark as an early pioneer in day trading in Australia, establishing his investment fund. Following this, from 2001 to 2006, he founded and scaled a retail business in the gas station and convenience retail sector in Sydney, amassing over $500,000,000 in annual revenues. Transitioning into luxury real estate development from 2006 to 2010, Raj garnered accolades for crafting award-winning luxury homes in both Sydney and Palm Beach, Florida. From 2010 to 2022, his focus shifted to the beverage industry, where he pioneered several ventures, including Australia’s first Cocktail Bitters brand, and facilitated groundbreaking collaborations with industry giants like Brown-Forman and Coca-Cola. In recent years, Raj has delved into investment and advisory roles, establishing his Family Office and advisory firm. Notably, he co-founded the first and second international cannabis companies to list on Nasdaq, marking significant milestones in the industry. Throughout his career, Raj has founded, scaled, and successfully exited numerous ventures, showcasing his aptitude for identifying and nurturing profitable opportunities.
Beyond his professional endeavors, Raj indulges in various hobbies, including cooking, wine collecting, and tasting. He also exhibits a passion for poker, having played semi-professionally, and is deeply involved in charitable activities, particularly in supporting initiatives aimed at feeding the homeless. Raj’s commitment to philanthropy underscores his multifaceted approach to life, balancing entrepreneurial success with social responsibility.
